Finland and Venezuela Pavilions

On Sept 21 2009, construction of Finland and Venuzuela pavilions began at the Shanghai World expo 2010 site.

Venezuela Pavilion will look like a numeric 8 - a symbolic number both in China and Venezuela. The pavilion will depict a large number of venuzuela traditional aspects and culture. Venezuela children's orchestra will perform in a 286-seat theater on July 5 (Venezuela's national day).

Finland Pavilion will be 20 meters high and shaped like a kirnu which means a bowl-shaped rocky hollow formed naturally along the seashore. The six-story pavilion looks like be floating on the lake. The facade will be mainly made from waste paper and plastic. Finland Pavilion's theme is 'sharing inspiration' and promotes ideas on how to improve living standards.
